The Rev Tom Davies was our minister (jointly with Cyncoed), whilst he was Cardiff Circuit Superintendent, from 1985 to 1995. His book "From Pit to Pulpit", published privately in 2008, tell the story of his ministry circuit by circuit -

"Tom Davies is a superb Methodist minister, whose recollections make fascinating and gripping reading. It is a colourful and rich story, but then Tom is a rich and colourful personality - as is Barbara, his wife. They are a wonderful and complimentary couple, fully involved in life and ministry together. I pay tribute to them as friends and colleagues. Tom was my first Synod Secretary when I became Chairman. He has always bee a tower of strength, especially at the time of my first wife's death.
