Rev Phil Drake writes of his experience -
"The bed-down event was organised to raise the issue of
homelessness amongst young people in South Wales. It was also a sponsored event
with the aim of raising £10000 towards NCH's work with the young homeless. The
bed down was held at the British Gas car park in Cardiff and about 50 people
attended, including a dozen or so from the Cardiff circuit. Prior to bedding
down, we watched a video on the theme and played some games with a purpose,
which helped us to explore the issues more fully. After bread and soup for
supper, we all moved into the car park area where we constructed bed spaces
using wooden palettes and cardboard boxes. It was a worthwhile event, raising
over £7000 towards the overall target."
