| MINISTERS BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES Rev Sue O'Hare
Not yet available Rev John Rowe
I was born and raised in the city of Liverpool and am elder brother to 5 sisters and 4 brothers. My place of birth has meant that I have carried the burden of being a supporter of Everton FC since childhood. Liz and I have 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter. In June this year (2011), we were thrilled to become grandparents for the first time when our grandson, Max, arrived into the world. My spiritual journey is somewhat unusual in that I came to faith in my late thirties – This led to study for a theology degree at Westminster College in Oxford which was followed by 3 years work as a residential social worker with young people in the same city. Alongside this work I studied to be a local preacher while candidating for the ordained ministry. My probationary ministerial years included study for an MA in applied theology at The Queens Foundation in Birmingham. I am now in my 14th year in ministry and my fifth in Cardiff, having previously spent 9 years in the Tamworth and Lichfield Circuit. Deacon Liz Rowe “ I
came to Cardiff in 2007, my first appointment as a Methodist Deacon. I was
stationed with my husband John to share in team ministry across a group of four
churches. Following the recent review we are now delighted to be working as a
team of three with our colleague Sue O’Hare across this cluster of six
churches. Before responding to a call to ordained diaconal ministry I was a
primary school teacher for several years before taking up an appointment in the
Tamworth and Lichfield circuit as a children and family worker. I undertook my
pre-ordination training at The Queens foundation Birmingham. John and I have
two sons and a daughter and a recent addition to our family has been our
grandson - Max.”
