The Girls' Brigade and their friends who live in Melbourne Road spent the Thursday nights of Advent in Christmas preparations. They decorated the church Christmas tree ready for the Toy Service, made Christmas cards and Christmas sweets, went carol singing with church members in Melbourne Road and rehearsed an item for the church's Candlelit Carol Service.
