The
congregation were invited to write up their hopes for the future - or
hopes they believed others might have (everything from a big tube of
Smarties to world peace). The printed sheets identify the kinds of
messiah foretold in the Old Testament (as highlighted in the
drama).

The
congregation were then asked to vote on which messiah would be most
likely to deliver their hopes. ('Leader and guide' won by a narrow
margin.) We were then reminded that it was not enough to look outside
for a messiah to come and rescue us. We all have a part to play as
members of the 'Body of Christ'.
