| Bring a Friend to Church on Tuesday May 15th 2007 : Welsh Tokens by Clive Selwood | ||
| Clive Selwood shows one of his large collection of Welsh Tokens | A token issued to members of Cardiff Presbyterian Church qualified to receive Holy Communion | |
| Clive spoke enthusiastically of his large collection of Tokens issued in Wales over the last 200-300 years for all sorts of purposes. Tally tokens from coal mines, communion tokens from local churches, tokens issued as change from shops or as tickets for transport. A large church gathering was captivated by a talk which opened up a subject about which no one had any preconceived ideas. | ||
